The Easkey gets an excellent run of grilse and summer salmon. It is about 35 kilometres long draining the northern slopes of the Ox Mountains and Lough Easkey. The best beat on the river is the Fortland Fishery which offers private salmon fishing in one of the most picturesque river valleys in west of Ireland. One of my favourite places to fish in Ireland
